Having started her career years ago as an intern with the Annapolis station, Schlegel was promoted from full time anchor position to News Director.

“We are extremely proud of what Jane has accomplished and very pleased to have her lead our news team,” said Steve Hopp, V.P. and General Manager.

Schlegel’s career started in the military where she served overseas with the Army before being stationed at Ft. Meade. She graduated from Columbia School of Broadcasting and has held various positions in the radio industry. Recent career moves took her to Baltimore where she wrote news for a wire service and was news and traffic anchor for Metro Networks.

“It’s great to come full circle and return to the WNAV anchor desk, doing the job I love,” says Schlegel.

Schlegel is married with three children, and lives in Severna Park.
